Our four Houses co-organised exciting inter-house competitions this year. One of them was the Inter-house English Debating Competition. The motion was “The Disadvantages of Takeaway Food Outweighs the Advantages”. Two Houses formed the affirmative team while the other two formed the opposition team. The debaters presented their arguments with reasons and evidence. The Head and Deputy Head of the English Department were the judges. They gave the debaters timely feedback and comments on the language standard, eloquence and organisation skills of the debaters. Green House was the Champion and all the participants learnt a lot from this competition.
